About me
SOMETHING SHORTER AND SWEETER AND WELCOMING OVERVIEW HERE
Ways of working
I offer day and evening appointments online, by telephone or face to face in a peaceful, private setting with on-site parking. I also offer Outdoor Therapy, (Walk and Talk), if you feel that would be a better option for you.
I am a professional and qualified counsellor. I am fully insured and a member of the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists) and I work within it’s Ethical Framework. I started my counselling training in 2000 and worked for 2 years as a counsellor with an alcohol and drug agency. I qualified with the NCFE in 2005 and since then my work has focused on supporting people’s psychological health within GP’s surgeries, schools and colleges, in community settings and in private practise.
I am experienced in supporting Carers and worked for 6 years as a specialist support for people affected by dementia and their families.
Over the years I have attended many training courses including working with couples, bereavement therapy (with CRUSE), life coaching and most recently, animal assisted therapy. My work is integrative (using a variety of different theories) and this allows me to offer an individual approach for each client that fits to your specific requirements.
